Red Hat System Administration I (RH124) is designed for IT professionals without previous Linux system administration experience. It builds competence on core administration tasks and introduces key command-line concepts and enterprise tools.

This is the first of two courses that prepare you for the Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) exam (EX200), which is based on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10. Concepts continue in RH134: Red Hat System Administration II.

Aligned with the official RH124 outline (RHEL 10), including RHEL Lightspeed for AI-assisted administration help. Delivered as 12 modules covering the full LLC / Red Hat topic list.

Course outcomes:

• Introduce Linux and the Red Hat Enterprise Linux ecosystem
• Run commands and work effectively in shell environments
• Manage, organize, and secure files
• Manage users, groups, and local password policies
• Control and monitor systemd services and processes
• Configure remote access with the web console and SSH
• Configure network interfaces and settings
• Manage software using RPM/DNF (and Flatpak where applicable)
